Race info

Date: Saturday 30th April 2016. The run begins at 12.30pm

Registraion: Online registration at Qbuster. Offline registration on request. There are 300 places available and registration will close either when this number is reached or on 31st March 2016. There will be no waiting list or entries on the day of the race. Registration costs £12 (or £10 for Scottish Athletics Members). All participants must be aged 18 or over on the day of the race.

Bibs and numbers: to be collected from the bar at the Kinloch Hotel (Blackwaterfoot) on Friday 29th April between 6 and 8pm, or the registration tent outside the Kinloch Hotel on Saturday 30 April from 10.30am to 12.00pm.

Start Line: The start line is locate a short walk away from the registration venue. The route to the start line will be clearly signed and marshals will lead a warm up walk over to the start line 10 minutes before the race start time.

Finish Area: A goodie bag and medal will be awarded to all finishers and free refreshments will be available for runners.

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the first male, first female and first local runner to cross the line. Prize presentation will be at the Kinloch Hotel function suite at 3pm.

Photographs: We are lucky enough to have a photogtrapher covering this event, and images will be available FREE OF CHARGE from our event website. Please let us know if you would not like your picture to be taken or included.

Facilities: Changing facilities, toilet and free baggage storage will be available at the Kinloch Hotel. The Kinloch Hotel also has a bar and restuarant. There are toilets and a cafe at Fairways (Shiskine Golf and Tennis Clubhouse), near to the start and finish lines.

Travel: Competitors travelling to Arran on the day of the race will need to catch the 09:45 ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick, and will be able to return on either the 16:40 or 19:20 boats. For further information contact Caledonian McBrayne on 0800 066 5000 or go to http://www.calmac.co.uk. Should you come across as a foot passenger, it will be possible to get a bus across to Blackwaterfoot in time for the start of the run, and back again to connect with ferries leaving in the afternoon and evening – www.spt.co.uk/bus/timetables.

Parking: Parking is available in several areas around Blackwaterfoot, but please note, there will be no parking in the carpark near to Shiskine Golf and Tennis Club, due to another event taking place.
